2010 Hymn Competition
Hosted by: Archangel Michael and St.Mena Church - Staten Island, NY
On: Sept. 25 & 26, 2010 / Oct. 2 & 3, 2010.
Registration Fee: A non refundable $5 for each competitor.
Registration Due Date: 9/12/2010
The competition is held among five different groups, classified by age, subject to the following age limitations;
Group 1: Must NOT have exceeded their 8th birthday by the time of the competition (- (Born on or after 9/11/02).
Group 2: Must NOT have exceeded their 13th birthday by the time of the competition (Born on or after 9/11/97)
Group 3: Must NOT have exceeded their 18th birthday by the time of the competition (Born on or after 9/11/92).
Group 4: Must NOT have exceeded their 22nd birthday by the time of the competition (Born on or after 9/11/88).
Group 5: There is no age limitation for group 5.
Number of Competitors within each group :
Groups 1-4: There is no minimum number of competitors; however, there is a maximum of 10 competitors (per Church, per group).
Group 5: The minimum number of competitors in group five from each Church is 5. There will be no maximum number of competitors in this group. However, all groups of 10 or more will be judged equally, as if they were only 10 competitors. Teams of less than 10 will be scored according to the number of competitors. A two-point deduction by each judge is mandatory for each competitor below 10.
